The free figures are unequal, tend to decentralize, lead to different directions.

The ego, having been snatched from the crowd, had decided which side to stay on. This most lurid of pronouns discovered the unjust presumption of equality between men, shunned the mass and sought his own direction. Then “raising his gaze towards his brother, he saw the other for the first time, saw the difference as no longer reachable. In his hopelessness he despaired and killed him".

The most ancient of fears; that of being touched, takes on the form of distance, providing individuals with the courage to free themselves from the protective cover of  “The mass” (First density). The individuals split  up, the “narratives” therefore multiply going from figurative components to many possible meanings. The concentrated density reproduces itself into single parts. Each system that opens up in a different way influences the others and it is affected by an ever binding and possibly vertiginous mesh of diverse, converging and parallel times. A magnifying glass, at times  a beacon at others a faint light, exasperates the process as does the choice of the chair prop as opposed to the collective image imposed by the table prop in ”The Mass”(first density). Totality becomes multiple and no longer closes itself into a compact and reassuring single figure: it is like the mass but with a central force which breaks free from itself, freeing forms and figures in a number of ways which also show a possibility of truth less biased towards “ The density of man”.
