The two performers, Francesco Mastrocinque, an actor with disability, and the dancer Filippo Porro, are bearers of opposite and complementary physical forms. The movement of these bodies, bearing different voices, presences and powers, their dance in space and in light, weaves a flowing motion of high and low tides of forces to draw a cosmogony of conflicts, oppositions, brotherhoods, alliances. An epic tale similar to the dance of Siva that creates and destroys worlds.

Enrico Pastore, Il Pickwick, July 2021

Doppelgänger strikes in the chest, direct as a dart. On a stage that already duplicates reality and vision, the furious journey of two men, identical and separate souls, destined for fatal confrontation, takes place. A journey that, in that double gehen, will eventually plague us all, purposely derailing from the straight tracks of psychoanalysis to delve, corporeal and real, into the "uncanny."
Tumult of bodies, in a choreography that screams and that is silent, that weaves and separates, and that transports us into the tunnel of the self only to suddenly free us in the presence of unexpected truths. Exceptional Francesco Mastrocinque, an actor with disabilities, and dancer Filippo Porro, the protagonists of a sublime tale that gives no respite to the eyes or to thought.

Giuseppe Distefano, Sipario, August 2022

Utopia of diversity.
"Doppelgänger" is caterpillar, chrysalis and butterfly. It is moth tearing through the night. The two performers are membrane and short circuit. It is the premise of harmony, and of a correspondence very close to love.

Vincenzo Sardelli, KLP, September 2022

The double, duality as difference, the opposite giving rise to mystery: this work presents above all the encounter between the bodies of the two performers, Francesco Mastrocinque, an actor with a disability, and Filippo Porro, a dancer. An encounter that we have tried to grasp in its germinal phase and towards a symbiotic development up to the solitude and the tangle of limbs and light, of sounds and silences; through a process of relationship almost exclusively somatic. An oxymoron in dance, an attempt to reveal, between wise ignorance and disharmonic beauty, the double face of the sphinx: two different bodies that seek on stage the origin of the possibility of existing, a disruptive vitality and a disarming candour, through the abstraction of reality that becomes vision. Two identical bodies that recognise each other and do not stop embracing, the mandala, the cell that binds them. Two first beings, primates, at their first steps; between evolution and involution, they choose the non-existent "volution": a being close without going. Without the forced destiny of growing and shrinking. A path of gestures, glances; small, great tendernesses; mocking and ruthless betrayals. Always in a precarious balance: tightrope walkers, suspended between life and death, between asceticism and fall. In between: their forms, caught in the fragility of the unquenchable enigma of suspension.
